The Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic have won once more the first places in the sales of the compact segment for the month of February 2013. The Chevrolet Cruze and the Ford Focus achieved, moreover, the third and fourth place.
With 24 999 units sold in February 2013, Toyota Corolla has beaten all other compact entries in its class. What will happen if Toyota withdraws from the matrix, once called the Corolla, Matrix and counted in the total sales of the sedan - remains to be seen. The Honda Civic and the Ford Focus have been the other two entries to break the barrier to sell 20,000 units, while the Chevrolet Cruze to fourth place finished above the Hyundai Elantra by approximately 1700 units. The Cruze will get a slight boost in sales thanks to the buzz created by the Cruze diesel? We will see later this year.
More further down the sales chart, the Nissan Sentra on 10 058 units in February, highest total of Dodge Dart - and - Caliber 7752-unit. Although some may consider the Dart at low power, the car always seems to be done decently in the segment of compact, above the Subaru Impreza, 6001 units including the WRX and the Kia Forte, 5003 copies. The Mazda3 has jumped above the Nissan Sentra for February, with 10 554 units sold. When the Nissan Sentra and Kia Forte complete shipments arrive on dealer lots later this year, we'll see how to change the sales charts. Until then, the Toyota Corolla remains on top.
